Why does everything you post have to be about gender?

Because you still misgender and deadname me

Because you think trans people are too “complicated”

Because asking you to call me my real name is “making everything about me”

Because when I correct you on my pronouns you make it all about you

Because using singular they is “hard for you” even though we all use it literally all the time

Because you call yourself an “ally” but call me she/her behind my back because “it’s just easier”

Because you think I’ll never know that you do that but bitch, I know

Because you think trans kids aren’t old enough to know they’re trans or receive gender-affirming healthcare

Because you still vote against trans people

Because you pretend to care but don’t actually educate yourself

Because you hear people misgender us but you don’t correct them

Because my trans students still get bullied

Because gender affirming healthcare is still inaccessible to thousands

Because you think being trans is a choice

Because you think you know me better than I know myself

Because you still want to know who’s “the boy” and who’s “the girl” in bed

Because you still want to know “what I really am”

Because we still live in a heteronormative patriarchal society

Because you’re still ignorant as F*CK

Everything is about gender because YOU make it about not respecting mine.

If you think I’m talking to you I AM.

I implore you to look deep into your heart and ask why you think it’s okay to judge the truth of a person you don’t share the lived experience of?

Ask yourself why you think your rules are the only rules and why you think your rules are empirically correct?

Ask yourself why you lack the courage to correct yourself and others on our pronouns when we’re not around?

I would love to post about something else, like these gummy bears

but as long as you keep making everything about your ignorance and prejudice, I’m going to keep making everything about educating you
